IR-01.1.ex / IR-01.1.S.ex
Infrared spark detector
The infrared spark detector IR-01.1.ex / IR-01.1.S.ex with a pressure-tight encapsulated housing detects sparks and flames in closed, explosion-hazardous systems. The maximum of its spectral sensitivity is around 850 nm (IR-01.1.ex) or around 980 nm (IR-01.1.S.ex). The device is well suited for sparks and flames with temperatures > 800°C.
It is designed for installation in parts of the system where it is completely dark and where no extraneous light is to be expected.
Detection distance IR-01.1.ex = 500 mm
Detection distance IR-01.1.S.ex = 1000 nm
Daylight contains infrared components that trigger the device and can therefore cause false alarms. IR-01.1.ex / IR-01.1.S.ex is used, for example, in electronic spark extinguishing systems with monitoring devices for the early detection of fires or explosions and wherever flammable or smoldering materials are transported mechanically or pneumatically and there is a risk of fire or explosion.
