IR spark detector

The infrared spark detector IR-01.1 / IR-01.1.S detects sparks and flames in closed systems. The maximum of its spectral sensitivity is around 850 nm (IR-01.1) or around 980 nm (IR-01.1.S).
The device is well suited for sparks and flames with temperatures > 800°C. It is designed for installation in parts of the system where it is completely dark and where no extraneous light is to be expected.

Daylight contains infrared components that trigger the device and can therefore cause false alarms. IR-01.1 / IR-01.1.S is used, for example, in electronic spark extinguishing systems with monitoring devices for the early detection of fires or explosions and wherever flammable or smoldering materials are transported mechanically or pneumatically and there is a risk of fire or explosion.

The detector is equipped with a nano-coated special filter glass that has excellent oleophobic and hydrophobic properties. Dust and dirt also have a very hard time settling on the viewing window, which means that air purging is not necessary in many applications.

The fault relay is always a normally open relay, is operated inversely (fail-safe) and is activated with JU1=ON, which simultaneously activates the internal line end resistor.
